WORLD DVD STANDARDS
Broadcast television standards vary throughout the world. Australia, Europe, Asia and New Zealand use the PAL (Phase Alternating Line) system in production and transmission, while NTSC (National Television System Committee) is prevalent in the United States and Japan.
